Magnet - Aoki Mr Tibbles

Between 2024-2025, Aoki Leigh-Saddler was Young Cartoonist in Residence at The Cartoon Museum. This programme provides neurodiverse young cartoonists with an opportunity to produce cartoons and comic strips that can be exhibited and merchandise made from them sold in the shop.

Across an eight-week period, Aoki spent one morning a week working with Outreach Officer Amba Malekin-Goneni and cartoonist/tutor Steve Marchant to develop her characters and storyline.

The Cartoon Museum's Commercial Manager Holly Burrows helped to advise Aoki on which images to choose to be made into merchandise to sell in the shop both in-store and online.
