The Trigan Empire told the story of an alien culture on the planet Elekton, who had futuristic technology but lived in culture based on ancient human civilizations, particularly Classical Greece and Rome. The strip echoes the potential for future inter-planetary colonialism if humanity leaves Earth, with human cultures influencing future societies as they look back to our past.
